Hi There !
I am Sherae Green LMHC, CCTP
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Women's Mental Health Specialist providing virtual therapy throughout Florida.
My practice specializes in trauma and women's mental health, with a particular focus on supporting BIPOC women through healing, personal growth, and the unique emotional and psychological challenges they may experience.
Why This Work Matters to Me
Women are often expected to keep functioning through everything.
Work. Relationships. Family. Health issues. Changes in your body. Expectations about how you should look, feel, behave, and show up for everyone else.
And sometimes the impact of all of that eventually shows up in your mental health.
I believe therapy should create space to look at the full picture.
That means we can talk about your mental health while also talking about your health, your body, your relationships, your culture, your identity, and the experiences that shaped you.
My approach
My therapeutic style is authentic, direct, collaborative, and culturally responsive.
I'm not interested in simply telling you how to cope with something that may need to be questioned, processed, or changed.
Sometimes therapy means unpacking the past.
Sometimes it means challenging a belief you've carried for years.
Sometimes it means talking honestly about a relationship, a health issue, your body, sex, family expectations, or the version of yourself you feel like you've lost.
And yes, sometimes therapy can include humor too.
Education & Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Administration of Justice, from Howard University and my Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
With more than nine years of clinical experience, I have supported individuals navigating trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity development, and significant life transitions. My professional background has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the psychological, emotional, interpersonal, and systemic factors that influence mental health and overall well-being.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Women's Mental Health Specialist, I bring specialized knowledge to my work with individuals experiencing trauma-related concerns and the unique psychological and emotional challenges that can arise throughout women's lives. My approach emphasizes trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, empowerment, and an understanding of how personal experiences, relationships, and broader social systems shape mental health.
My clinical training encompasses a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. I integrate these approaches to provide individualized care that honors each client's experiences, strengths, and therapeutic goals.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and continually expanding my clinical knowledge to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-informed mental health care.
